Self-efficacy in academic achievement

Systematically review the evidence on research conducted on the “self-efficacy” construct in the educational context. The selection of the information, an electronic search of scientific articles in different databases was carried out, and then the articles that met the inclusions requirements that were according to the subject and the objective were selected. 60 articles were identified, of which each was reviewed, taking into account the information read in the summary and reviewing the references of each article found in the search. 48 articles that did not meet the inclusion criteria were discarded, leaving only 12 articles for this investigation. Where it was found that in 2011 it is where more publications are found on the subject sought and the country of Mexico is the one that has done more research on this studied construct. In the different investigations it has been agreed that self-efficacy plays an important role in academic achievement and accompanied by other variables, the academic success of a student can be predicted.
