Abstract

This article has as aims, in first place to check some theoretical foundations to evaluate the resiliencia and some instruments used for its measurement; in second place, to examine the Resilience Scale of Wagnild & Young, its foundations, as well as its national and international psychometric properties, that award it to be a valid alternative to measure the resilience in teenagers and adults. And in third place, to offer an appraisal of the implications that carries the measurement of the resiliencia nowadays.
