In our country there is Labeling Law, Regulations and Standard Labeling Nutrition; documents that clearly indicate the information to be registered compulsorily on packages of processed foods. The aim of this investigation was to assess compliance with the Peruvian Technical Standards (209,038 NTP: NTP 209 652 2009: 2006 206 001 NTP: 1981) in packaged cookies distributed and marketed in the city of Lima. The research design was cross-sectional, descriptive and analytical cut, and a total of 158 containers was evaluated. During the analysis took into account the general information on the label and packaging, comparing compliance with Peruvian Technical Standards, for which 9 variables were evaluated. The same procedure was followed in the evaluation of the Nutrition Labeling (PTS 209 652: 2006). Among the results we can highlight a record of compliance of the 9 requirements in 82 % of the sample tested, while the remaining 18% had a partial fulfillment. Also, it was shown that 37% of labels assessed in relation to the nutritional information does not comply with the Technical Standard for Nutrition Labeling.
