The hospital teacher is a professional who pursues educational fulfillment in the hospitalized child and adolescent, and also, inherent in his work, creates emotional ties with his students and family seeking to promote adaptation to the hospital environment and normalizing, as far as possible. possible, the development of the child. The context in which he works turns out to be of high impact because he faces constant uncertain scenarios such as the physical evolution of his student, the family’s psychosocial impact of the child and their possible death. Not having constant emotional or psychological support puts the hospital teacher in a risky position facing emotions such as guilt, anger, stress, sadness, and consequently, in doubt about the effectiveness of his work affecting his behavioral response and cognitive and positioning it against possible wear and tear due to empathy or burnout, negatively affecting the resilience of the educational profesional.
