The field of humor translation in the audiovisual environment is vast and constantly expanding. This situation increases the demand for professionals specialized in this area. Translating humor faces particular problems that can be solved using different translation strategies. This research aims to analyze the most common translation problems in twenty articles published from 2017 to 2023 and the strategies employed during their humor translation process. This study used a qualitative approach with a literary review method and was based on analyzing 20 articles: 10 in Spanish, 9 in English, and 1 in Portuguese. Content analysis was the data collection technique chosen. Conclusions were drawn from twenty articles about the problems and the strategies used during the humor translation process. 50% were written in Spanish, 40% in English, and 10% in Portuguese. Findings also reveal that 30% of their translation problems were linked to wordplay, 50% to cultural references, and 20% to linguistic problems. Regarding their translation strategies, 30% focused on compensation, 40% on literal translation, 20% on adaptation, and 10% on equivalence.
