Speech Fluency in children aged 8 and 9 years of the Educational Institution No. 108 “Santa Rosa de Quives” of the Santa Anita district of Metropolitan Lima. The method used was a simple non-experimental descriptive type with a transverse research design. The sample was applied to 37 students, using the protocol of the Speech Fluency Assessment (Furquim de Andrade), to measure the types of fluctuations, speech speed and rupture frequencies. The results established the most frequent types of dysfluences in the 8-year group are hesitations, interjections, extensions and pauses, and in the 9-year group they are: hesitations, word repetitions, unfinished words and syllable repetitions. In speech speed, the 9-year-old group has a higher speed than the 8-year-old group. It was determined as conclusions that in relation to the profile of speech fluency there are no significant differences between the age groups with the type of dysfluences, rupture frequencies and the speed of speech.
